Sygic’s Job Dispatch Transforms Smartphones into Low-Cost Enterprise Mobility Devices with Bar Code Scanner

Bratislava, Slovakia –August 7, 2014 –Sygic, the GPS navigation innovators with more than 50 million users in 115 countries, today released a new feature of its popular B2B product Sygic J
ob Dispatch
. The Job Dispatch application suite was first released at the end of January 2014 and has proven to be an unparalleled mobile workforce management solution for companies looking to quickly and seamlessly dispatch and navigate their teams.

Users of Sygic’s Job Dispatch application suite will now be able to access BAR CODE SCANNER, a new integrated feature that enhances tracking capabilities and streamlines warehouse and inventory management. BAR CODE SCANNER allows workers to access barcode scanning for packages as they arrive at a company’s facility, thereby guaranteeing complete control and organization of stock and supply. Company dispatchers can easily add their barcodes into their job system and see exactly which packages have been delivered and which are still on the way.

Sygic’s new BAR CODE SCANNER compliments existing software with easy to use, effective tools for busy companies with active mobile workforces. Businesses whose livelihood depends on fast deliveries, low response times and up-to-the-minute updates can rely on a user-friendly and effortless application that simplifies dispatch management and inventory control.

Alongside integration with Sygic’s mapping software, other great features of Job Dispatch include:

API Integration

Dispatch jobs directly from company job systems or third party systems through API integration. Companies can create and dispatch tasks, get task statuses or locate drivers without using the Job Dispatch WEB interface. Integration is easy and comes with online assistance.

Messaging

Messages can be sent directly to drivers’phones with text and attachments included in the job order. Drivers’replies will include exact locations and the option to incorporate image and document attachments. This feature affords the quickest and most direct way to send photographs as proof if an issue arises or goods are broken.

Job Templates

Companies with frequent customers can easily create templates for repetitive tasks and faster data management. All recurring data is saved into customized templates that can be dispatched anytime with a single click.

Location Tracking

Locate employees with accurate real-time positions anytime, anywhere. Job Dispatch uses GPS signal as well as mobile networks for better reach, and the location of a mobile workforce is visible even inside buildings or driving through tunnels. Accuracy of tracking can be predefined in the system’s settings and companies can prevent drivers from disabling Location Tracking.

Signature

Job Dispatch supports signature capture for electronic authentication. Once a signature has been captured, the signature and its location data are automatically sent to the dispatcher.

 Notifications

Receive automatic notifications when a job is created, accepted, in progress or completed. Create custom notifications and emails for both dispatchers and drivers.

Automatic job assignment

Job Dispatch finds the best driver for each task by assigning jobs to the closest available driver through the system’s autoassign feature. If a driver is not accepting jobs for a set period of time, the auto decline feature automatically declines the job, and Job Dispatch instinctively reassigns the job to the next viable driver.

“Well-implemented navigation technology is the future of mobile workforce management, and we are dedicated to developing new solutions with better business in mind,”Sygic CEO Michal Štencl said. “You do not need expensive devices, complex business solutions, or confusing systems to complete jobs effectively. We are pleased to offer an application suite that is simple for both dispatchers and drivers and does not require any additional software.”

“Sygic Job Dispatch has worked wonders for our delivery service! This app makes it so easy to deliver our food quickly. Having Job Dispatch has definitely increased our deliveries per hour,’’said Ronn Savoie, Co-Owner of a multi-restaurant delivery service Dash N Dine.

Sygic offers three Job Dispatch packages with prices starting as low as €5,99 per device.

All suites include an online desktop component for dispatchers and an Android app for mobile employees to receive work plans and navigation directions from either Sygic’s GPS navigation or Google Maps.

“The BAR CODE SCANNER feature gives our customers the ability to better track and monitor their product inventories, thereby ensuring optimal organization and time management,”Štencl said. “The ability to track employees and delivery status in real-time allows businesses to monitor their jobs from beginning to end.”

Sygic Job Dispatch is available for businesses to try for free on Sygic’s website at http://www.sygic.com/jobdispatch, and set-up takes only five minutes. Presently available for Android devices, Job Dispatch has reached more than 32 000 unique users from Google Play since its release earlier this year.
