Whatsapp reaches 1 Billion Daily active users and 55 Billion messages sent daily

Whatsapp is one of the most popular instant messaging app in the world at present. Facebook buy Whatsapp for $19 Billion in 2015. Since than the user base of app grown rapidly. last year whatsapp announce that the app reaches 1 Billion monthly active users. Today, it sets up another milestone at which Whatsapp reached 1 Billion daily active users.

Along with the announcement of 1 Billion Daily active users, company has also announce some other stats. which includes 55 Billion messages sent daily, 4.5 billion photos and 1 billion videos, and 1.3 billion monthly active users.

This is all because of whatsapp adding features regularly. Like in recent times Whatapp adds snapchat stories like status feature, Emoji searchallows sharing files of all types, etc.

For a reminder, Facebook the parent company of Whatsapp announced that it’s now at around 2 billion monthly users as Facebook Messenger alone surpassed 1.2 billion monthly users as of April. Instagram separately announced in June that it was at 250 million daily active users, and Snapchat announced 166 million daily active users as of its last announced numbers back in May.
