Action Launcher is one of the popular launchers used by many Android users to customize their device. AdaptiveZoom is the name given to new app opening animation in the latest update of Action launcher. Whenever a user launches an app, the launcher fills the screen with the background color of the adaptive icon of particular app. This works flawlessly on phones running Android Oreo. However, for older versions of Android users have to install AdaptivePack an icon pack which brings adaptive icons to non Oreo smartphones.

Other new features include Android 8.1 style bounce animation when opening app drawer, home screen indicator, another Android 8.1 style easing animation in leftmost and rightmost home screens, new folder preview which displays top leftmost shortcuts rather than first row, entire home screen can be dragged and deleted, empty home screens can be created and re enabled Android’s Accessibility APIs to improve reliability for opening notification shade as well as recents list.
