Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom receiving Android Oreo update

Asus is refining it’s support system for its Mobile devices. Unlike the other Hardware support, Asus was lagging in support for Mobile devices. But now, it seems that Asus is patching up the after-service support gap. Asus is providing the Android Oreo for most of the eligible devices.

The recent one to get the Android Oreo update is the Zenfone 3 Zoom. After, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Asus has provided the Oreo OTA for the Zenfone 3 Zoom. Most of the Zenfone 3 series devices have received the Android Oreo but that is not the case with the standard Zenfone 3 device. It is postponed until the June end this year.

Along with the new features of the Android 8.0 Oreo, Asus is also cleaning some of the elements from it’s own UI package. They have removed some pre-installed apps like minimove, PhotoCollage and Do It Later. Also, they have added support for new gestures with a warning of more space usage for the update.

The update is on the roll, you need to wait for few hours or days to get. The new rollout is on the way to all the Zenfone 3 Zoom users. You can also check for the update manually by heading to the Settings > About> Check for Update.

Additionally, Last year it received the Android 7.1 Nougat with many new features. It is better that the Zenfone 3 Zoom is getting it’s second OS upgrade after launch.

Also, switch to the WiFi network to save additional costs on your carrier network while downloading the update. Well, anyone from here who have received the update.
