AT&T has started rolling out a new update with July security patch to LG K10 smartphones. You must be wondering that the device is getting July security patch in the month of September. It is quite common for most mid-range devices to receive security updates months after Google releases the official update. Meanwhile, the update is being sent OTA and may take quite sometime to reach all the devices.
The update tagged as build number K42520d brings performance improvements as well as minor system enhancements. We always advise to install security updates on a priority basis as these updates are meant to address bug-fixes and security threats on your device. While this update is not the most recent one, we still suggest all the users to install the update on their LG K10 smartphones.
If you do not see the update hitting your smartphone in the next few days, you can manually check for the update. From the device home screen, pull down the notifications menu and tap Settings, scroll to the General tab and in the About Phone option, tap Software update > Update Now. If the update has already arrived, just follow the on-screen prompts to install the update.
It is strongly recommended to charge your device to at least 50 percent before you’re ready to download the update. Also, don’t forget to connect your device to a stable Wi-Fi connection for the update to seamlessly download on your device.
