Let us dig a little deep and see how the blocking of autoplay of videos works with the new release of the Chrome on Android. In case if you’ve already updated to the latest version. You might’ve noticed that certain videos no more autoplays while you browse. That is so because Google has enforced some new policies on when media can autoplay. Such that the videos on web will be autoplayed if and only if any one of the three below mentioned criterion are satisfied.

  • Content is muted, or does not feature audio
  • Users previously tapped or clicked on the site during the browsing session
  • On mobile, if the site has been added to the Home Screen by the user

Other change that is debuting on Chrome is the new “Export Password Option”. The new feature simply facilitates you to share your passkeys to any app. The option can be seen as an overflow icon by tapping the Passwords menu on settings.

By now, the latest updated Chrome Browser should be available on Google Play Store for some devices. If not, don’t panic as within a week or so the update will be visible in your device too.
