Honor, a sub-brand under Huawei, introduced Honor 9 as its flagship device for 2017. The device was initially released for Chinese users in mid-June followed by the Europe launch. The Phone has been less than a month and the device has crossed 1 million sales mark already. Huawei’s Honor brand CEO Zhao Ming revealed this information on the micro-blogging site Weibo.
Excited with the feat achieved by company’s latest flagship, Zhao Ming posted that the Honor 9 shipment surpassed 1 million units in just 28 days. At the same time, he also apologized for short supply of handsets due to high rise in demand. The company itself did not expect such an exceptional response from the users. He further added that the company is continuously working to increase productivity and should be able to cater to the rising demand ensuring high quality.
Honor 9 is a competitively priced smartphone and packs all top-notch features. The smartphone packs a 5.15-inch 1080p display and is powered by Kirin 960 processor with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
Honor 9 boasts a dual (20MP + 12MP) rear camera setup along with an 8MP front camera for selfies. The smartphone is backed by a 3,200mAh battery and runs Android 7.0. Honor 9 is priced at 2299 Yuan which converts to USD $338.
