HTC One M8 Getting a Minor Software Update


The recently announced flagship device from HTC, is getting an minor software update. Interestingly the new update brings in the Extreme Power Saving Mode and also enhanced the camera and gallery performances.


As a matter of fact the Extreme Power Saving Mode was announced at the time of launch but the US and the Canadian devices did not have it, as the updated needed to be approved by FCC. Also device went under a couple of more tests to confirm whether the emergency call mode was still available in the low power.

The Update would take your build number to version 1.55.631.4  and yet it is still Android 4.4.2 based. Along the update it comes with Sense 6.0 User interface. The update weighs about 150 MB and is rolling out now. If you haven’t got any notification about the update, you can check it manually by navigating to Settings > About > Software.
