Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be available through online retailers in the US

Huawei unveiled the Mate 10 series back in October last year. The series includes three models – regular Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Porsche Design. The Chinese tech giant was supposed to announce their carrier partner for US at CES 2018, but it all went wrong when AT&T pulled off the deal at the last moment. Thus, the company will be selling the latter two variants unlocked through online retailers.

Huawei had bigger hopes of entering US markets with carrier support for many years now. But, alas that is not going to be possible this year too. AT&T was suppose to sell the Mate 10 devices, but they cancelled the deal at the very last moment. Sources say that the deal was cut off due to political pressure regarding Huawei’s involvement in spying for Chinese government. Huawei’s CEO Richard Yu went off script at the end of presentation to give an emotional speech on the brand’s innovation, trust and security.

The Huawei Mate 10 Pro Unlocked is priced at $799 and will be available from major online retailers like Amazon, Best Buy and others. On the other hand, the Mate 10 Pro Porsche Design is priced at $1,225. The phones will be start shipping from February 18 . What are your thoughts on Huawei’s fate for US ? Comment below.
