Huawei rolls out February 2021 security patch to Nova 6 and Nova 6 Pro

Huawei seems to walk slowly in seeding out updates to its devices as compared to other smartphones brand. In 2019, the Chinese giant launched Nova 6 and Nova 6 Pro with Android 9 (Pie), which is upgradable to Android 11 powered by Kirin 990 and Kirin 980 respectively. This Nova 6 duo is now receiving the EMUI 11 based February 2021 security patch update.

The new firmware bumps the EMUI version 11.0.0.169 for Nove 6 while Nova 6 Pro is receiving version number 11.0.0.170. The package weighs 313 MB in size for both handsets.

Also, it is to be noted that this is a minor security patch update and does not bring new features, only the security gets upgraded by bringing fixes for 2 critical, 26 high, and 77 medium levels of CVEs to enhance device security.
