LG outs its Q2 2012 Financial Results which is showing a 46-percent year-over-year increase in net profits for the quarter. But its seeing the sharp revenue loss in the mobile division mostly because of the transition from feature phones to smartphones. Here are some main points in the results take a look:

  • Operating loss of KRW 57 billion (USD 49.48 million) for Q2.
  • Overall revenues down 28.5-percent year-over-year to KRW 2.32 trillion (USD 2.01 billion).
  • Smartphone shipments lifted to 44-percent of unit sales, which is up 36-percent from Q1.

Overall Q2 of 2012 is profitable for LG and profit came out of the TV sales, which helped to 46% year-over-year increase in Q2, up to $132 million, while operating profit doubled to $303 million.
