MediaTek has secretly announced the new flagship level chipset, Dimensity 7050 5G mobile platform to power the smartphones. The Dimensity Series adds a new chipset into the group. As Realme official confirmation, the new chipset will make its way to the industry with the Realme 11 Series. Recently, the Realme 11 Pro+ has been spotted on Geekbench with Dimensity 7050 chipset, Android 13, and 12GB of RAM.
In fact, MediaTek is renaming its current Dimensity 700, Dimensity 800, and Dimensity 900 series chips under the new Dimensity 6000 and particularly 7000 series. With this change, the company hopes to make its product line more straightforward for customers and to streamline its naming conventions. Basically, the Dimensity 1080 has been relaunched as the MediaTek Dimensity 7050.
MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G Specifications
Two powerful Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz make up the CPU of the Dimensity 7050 SoC, which was created utilizing TSMC’s cutting-edge 6nm manufacturing technology. With compatibility for LPDDR5/4x memory and UFS 3.1/2.1 storage standards, the GPU has a Mali-G68 MC4. The CPU has GNSS (global navigation satellite systems) and the most recent Wi-Fi 6 standard functionality, significantly enhancing its interoperability and capabilities.
The chipset is capable of handling panels with up to 2520 x 1080 pixel resolutions and 120Hz refresh rates.
