Moto G22 bags several certifications, launch seems imminent

The Lenovo-owned company is adding one more smartphone to its G-series flagship. The Moto G22 has made an appearance on several certification platforms, including Geekbench, NBTC, EEC, and FCC. This suggests that the launch is approaching. Also, we do have the entire specifications of the device already, thanks to some render leaks!

As per the leaks, the Moto G22 is a mid-range phone built around a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Further, it suggests the presence of MediaTek Helio G37 chipset under the hood. To mention, the processor was first used by the company on the Moto G Power (2022) that launched last year.

Further, the Moto G22 is likely to arrive in a single storage configuration of 64 GB paired with 4 GB of RAM. Though the memory can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. On the software front, it may offer the latest Android 12 OS out of the box. In addition, the device can be backed up by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

For shooting purposes, the Moto G22 is alleged to house a 16 MP front-facing camera. On the other side, the phone can carry a 50 MP triple rear camera. The other lenses could include an 8 MP ultrawide unit and a 2 MP macro or depth sensor.

Availability and Price (rumored)

The Moto G22 is likely to arrive in three colors variants of Cosmic Black, Iceberg Blue, and White. It may cost $228 (~€200/ ₹15,000).
