Moto G22 bags several certifications, launch seems imminent

The Lenovo-owned company is adding one more smartphone to its G-series flagship. The Moto G22 has made an appearance on several certification platforms, including Geekbench, NBTC, EEC, and FCC. As per the leaks, the Moto G22 is a mid-range phone built around a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ resolution display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Further, it suggests the presence of MediaTek Helio G37 chipset under the hood. To mention, the processor was first used by the company on the Moto G Power (2022) that launched last year.

Further, the Moto G22 is likely to arrive in a single storage configuration of 64 GB paired with 4 GB of RAM. Though the memory can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. On the software front, it may offer the latest Android 12 OS out of the box. In addition, the device can be backed up by a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

For shooting purposes, the Moto G22 is alleged to house a 16 MP front-facing camera. On the other side, the phone can carry a 50 MP triple rear camera. The other lenses could include an 8 MP ultrawide unit and a 2 MP macro or depth sensor.

Availability and Price (rumored)

The Moto G22 is likely to arrive in three colors variants of Cosmic Black, Iceberg Blue, and White. It may cost $228 (~€200/ ₹15,000).
