In June this year, ZTE under its Nubia sub-brand launched Nubia Z17 as its flagship device for 2017. The device was initially released in China with three variants which include base variant that comes with 6GB RAM paired with 64GB or 128GB of storage and an upgraded variant that packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of on-board storage. At this time, it seems that the company is working on a new variant with 8GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The new variant with model number NX563J was recently spotted on the Chinese certification website, TENAA.
Nubia Z17 features a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 540 GPU. The device is already available in three variants as stated above while the fourth variant with 8GB RAM and 64GB of storage may release anytime soon.
The smartphone comes with a dual-camera setup at the back with 23-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors. It sports a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video-calling. Nubia Z17 packs a 3,200mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4+ which the company claims can charge the device from 0 to 50 percent in just 25 minutes. The device comes certified with an IP67 water and dust resistance. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Nubia UI 5.0 layer on the top.
According to a Weibo source, “The new 8GB variant of the ZTE Nubia Z17 will be priced at ¥3,999 which comes to approximately 37,900 INR.”
