Nubia Z30 Pro launched as the rebranded version of ZTE AXON 30 Ultra at a starting price of $776

The ZTE-owned Nubia has launched the Nubia Z30 Pro in China. The new smartphone from Nubia is to but just the rebranded version of the ZTE AXON 30 Ultra, which was launched one month earlier. However, a few specifications were modified, including the price tags.

The smartphone comes with the same display as the ZTE AXON 30 Ultra. It sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED display and comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The other features of the display incorporate 144Hz refresh rate, 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 10-bit colour depth (1.07 billion colours), 20:9 ratio, 395 ppi density, and 91.1% screen-to-body ratio.

The octa-core processor based Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G (5 nm) powers the device with Adreno 660 GPU. The device comes in three different variants: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and a 12GB + 512GB. Unfortunately, there’s no Sdcard slot available for the expansion. The brand has added five-layer micron graphene and a VC liquid-cooled soaking plate to reduce the heat.

Coming to the central part – the camera, the Nubia Z30 Pro houses a quad rear camera that assembles with a 64 MP Primary Camera, 64 MP standard camera, 8 MP periscope telephoto, and a 64 MP ultrawide lens. For selfies and video chats, the phone equips a 16 MP camera.

The phone runs Nubia UI 9.0 skin based on the Android 11 operating system. Regarding the battery, there’s a 4,200mAh battery available with 120W fast charging support. Furthermore, the device can quickly charge to 100% within 15 minutes.

Same as the ZTE AXON 30 Ultra, the phone houses an under-display optical fingerprint scanner. The general connectivity options compromise a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual stereo speakers, Bluetooth v5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6e, GPS, NFC. The inbox contents compromise of a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, a USB Type-C to 3.5mm headphone jack connector cable, 120W power adapter, protective case, etc.,

Pricing and Availability

The pricing information of the Nubia Z30 Pro is as follows.

  • 8GB RAM + 256GB Storage – ¥4,999 ($776)
  • 12GB RAM + 256GB Storage – ¥5,399 ($838)
  • 12GB RAM + 512GB Storage – ¥5,999 ($932)

In terms of availability, the company has already started taking pre-orders of the smartphone. The first sale of the Nubia Z30 Pro will start on May 25 at 10 AM. Unfortunately, the sale date of the high-end storage model, i.e. 12GB RAM + 512GB Storage, is not available yet.
