OnePlus Buds Pro 2 FCC listing reveals battery capacity & wireless charging details

The OnePlus Buds Pro 2 launch is expected on 7th February alongside the global launch of their flagship OnePlus 11 5G series. A great deal of information regarding the price and driver details is already out there on the internet. We now have the FCC listing of the device’s global variant on our hands, which reveals further specifications. Corresponding to the listing, OnePlus Buds Pro 2 might carry the model number E507A and will be manufactured in China.

The FCC listing images reveal technical specifications and a design blueprint of the Buds Pro 2. Primarily, the design is identical to its predecessor and we can see Dynaudio branding, which indicates the Buds Pro 2 is tuned by them. The charging case will house a 520mAh rated capacity lithium-ion battery. Nevertheless, the actual battery in the case is a bit larger with a typical capacity of 525mAh, presumably to offset the battery-health degradation over long-term usage. Whereas, each earbud will house a 0.231Wh battery. The listing also indicates the support for wireless charging.

According to the listing the earbuds feature dual drivers, measuring 11mm and 6mm in size. The frequency range is between 2,402MHz and 2,482Mhz and the operating ambient temperature is between 0°C to 35°C. It sports the latest Bluetooth 5.2 technology for faster pairing and seamless connection. There is also a ‘dual connection’ feature which allows the earbuds to be connected with two different devices simultaneously. Moreover, a low-latency mode for gaming is also present which brings the latency down to 54ms.

Like every other high-end TWS earbud, these also feature intelligent Active Noise Cancellation (up to 48dB), which is activated automatically by analyzing the surrounding environment. It is also equipped with multidirectional microphones and proximity sensors. Furthermore, these are Hi-Res certified and support both LHDC 5.0 audio codec and 360° spatial audio. Touch controls are supported to perform various earbud functions. These are IP-55 rated, which means it is dust and water-resistant.

The earbuds can clock 39 hours of playback time including the case with ANC disabled. Meanwhile, it lasts up to 25 hours with ANC turned on.

OnePlus Buds Pro 2 expected price

Earlier leaks and reports suggested that the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 will be priced at €179 (approx. ₹16,000 upon conversion) in Europe. However, rumors evince that the product could be priced under ₹11,000 in India.
