Pixel Phones start receiving a new update with February 2023 Security Patch

Google is right on schedule with the February 2023 Security Patch and several other bug fixes for Pixel smartphones. The udapte carries a fix for the unstable Clear Calling feature in some instances. Al the Pixel smartphones from Pixel 4a to Pixel 7 Pro are receiving the latest firmware Q1A.230205.002 for global variants. The second update of the year addresses all the security issues from 2023-02-01 and 2023-02-05 security patch levels.

Below are details of the changes that are part of the latest update. The changelog confirms the fix for several major issues on the Pixel smartphones.

February 2023 Security Patch changelog:

Accessibility
• Fix for issue preventing touch interaction with Braille keyboard in certain conditions

Audio
• Fix for issue occasionally causing instability while Clear Calling is enabled in certain conditions [1]

Bluetooth
• Fix for issue occasionally preventing connection with certain Bluetooth devices or accessories

Framework
• Fix for issue occasionally preventing Work profile calendar information from updating in the background


Device Applicability
Fixes are available for all supported Pixel devices unless otherwise indicated below.
