Just after Realme started pushing July security update to Realme 2, C1 and U1 smartphones, Realme Q aka Realme 5 Pro is also receiving a new software update in China. This latest update brings in July 2020 security patch along with June security patch since the device did not receive an update last month. Therefore, this update includes both June and July security patch for Realme Q/Realme 5 Pro.

With this update rolling out, the Firmware version on the smartphone is upgraded to RMX1971_11_C.06 or RMX1971EX_11_C.06. Again, this update is currently limited to Chinese users and global variant (Realme 5 Pro) should be updated to July security patch in the next few days.
Apart from addressing a variety of bugs and threats with the latest security patch, this update also adds multiple new features to the device.
The OTA update will be pushed in batches and will be available for download for all the users over a period of next few days. If you do not receive a system notification for the update, you may manually check for the update by tapping Settings > Software Update.
