Redmi Note 8 official renders reveal 48MP quad rear camera and Snapdragon 665

The Redmi Note 7 Series has been a blockbuster hit with the company selling over 20 Million units globally. Soon Redmi is going to unveil its successors, the Redmi Note 8 Series promising better internals and design. A new official render of the non-Pro variant, the Redmi Note 8 is now out literally confirming its certain key features we know so far.

Today, Redmi has officially confirmed the design of the Note 8, also reveals that the phone will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC and a 48MP main sensor on-board. Well, the 48MP sensor is accompanied by three more sensors making a rear quad-setup.

Note that the Pro variant, Redmi Note 8 Pro has been confirmed to come with a MediaTek SoC earlier. So, the standard Redmi Note 8 is the one for you if you prefer Qualcomm processors over MediaTek.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Mobile Platform which powers the Redmi Note 8 uses Samsung’s 11nm LPP process. It’s seen on new devices such as the Mi A3. Indeed the SoC is an upgrade over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 which the Redmi Note 7 has at its heart. It offers other perks such as bringing like lower battery consumption, Vulkan 1.1 API support, and a third-gen AI engine with the Hexagon 686 DSP.r.

If everything goes accordingly, the Note 8 Series launch will be a part of the big launch which is scheduled to happen in China on August 29, 2019.
