Samsung Galaxy M30 Android Pie released in India

A week earlier than the scheduled date, the much awaited Android Pie update for the Galaxy M30 is here. Quite obvious, Galaxy M30 – the top-tier device in the budget-centric Galaxy M Series is the first to receive the One UI treatment. We’ve to see when its smaller siblings, the Galaxy M20 and M10 will receive the same. It shouldn’t take long though.

Well, coming a little in-depth about the latest major update that has just hit the Galaxy M30. The OTA update weighs in at over 1140MB in size. It’s quite a normal size, given Samsung provides the budget devices with limited features, unlike the prominent Galaxy A and flagship S and Note Series.

Nonetheless, the update brings the Android Pie on top of One UI 1.1 skin. With new features such as in-built night mode and floating keyboards, the One UI on the M30 offers a whole new experience. Moreover, Samsung has added scene-optimizer to the stock camera app which optimizes the captured photos based on the surrounding to give an appealing finish.

As mentioned earlier, the One UI update for the Galaxy M30 is minimalist. It’s a bummer that still there is no official support for the unique Samsung apps such as Good Lock and Samsung Pass. We hope Samsung to introduce those features in later updates. Till then you can enjoy the whole new experience of One UI 1.1 on your beloved M30.
