As a part of the OneUI beta programme for the Galaxy Note 8, for which the registration began yesterday in certain regions such as India, the first beta firmware is rolling out now to the registered beta testers. Obvious enough, the beta firmware takes the one-year-old device to a whole new world with the heavily customized OneUI based on Android Pie 9.0.

The beta update comes in at around 1830MB in size as we’ve seen in one of the Indian Galaxy Note 8 units. Apart from bringing the latest Android base and the typical OneUI features such as Night Mode. It’s interesting to see that Samsung mirroring certain Galaxy S9/Note9 exclusive features too to the Galaxy Note8. The changelog mentions the inclusion of Dex support via just HDMI cable or without the need of Station or Dex Pad for the Galaxy Note8.

Moreover, elevating the excitement of Note8 users, Samsung is extending the Intelligent Scan, Dolby Atmos and Bixby 2.0 for the Galaxy Note8 with the OneUI.
