Samsung Screen Hide feature is here to minimize battery consumption

Samsung introduced a new feature to turn the display into low power state while running any app on the front end. The feature seems like a replica of AOD which offers a similar look but it gets triggered on some events. When using an application, you may use the Screen Hide feature to only turn off the screen when it’s essential. It will help reduce power usage and will help dissipate some heat.

The feature can be handy if the user only wants to listen to audio while playing videos over live streaming apps. As shown in the example below, we can see the feature in use while the Samsung TV Plus app running in the background. There can be several use cases where such a feature can be useful.

It is currently in beta and may cause some issues while using the Screen Hide feature. Below are the steps to use the feature.

Steps to Enable Screen Hide Feature

  1. Download and Install the Good Guardians app from the Galaxy Store, and then tap on ‘Battery Guardian’.
