HMD Global, the company behind Nokia-branded smartphones is doing well since its inception. The company has only launched 4 smartphones for global markets so far in 2019. However, more devices are expected as the successor to the most popular Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 series are still yet to be announced. Unsurprisingly, two unknown Nokia phones pass through Chinese certification.
The two unknown Nokia phones that passed through Chinese certification bear the model numbers TA-1177 and TA-1174 respectively. Sadly, the latter model is expected to be a feature phone as it supports only 2G. On the other hand, the former model supports 4G. But it could also be a 4G feature phone like the Nokia 3310 4G and Nokia 8110 4G (banana phone). Anyways, we can still hope it to be an Android smartphone rather than a feature phone.
In case you have forgotten or not aware of, HMD Global has launched Nokia X71 back in April 2019 in China. The same device was and still rumoured to arrive as Nokia 6.2 to global markets. If one of the two unknown Nokia phones which just passed through Chinese certification is a smartphone, then it could be Nokia 5.2 but not Nokia 6.2 as it is already on sale in China.
