Verizon Moto G7 Play receiving June 2020 security patch update in the US

Motorola is a bit backed this month in providing the security updates and software updates. A few days ago the Moto G7 Play got the Android 10 update. Now, Verizon based Motorola G7 Play has finally started getting the June 2020 security patch update. The device bumped directly from April 2020 security patch to June 2020 Security patch, meanwhile, it skipped the May security patch.

What’s new?

According to Verizon’s update release note, there were no new features added to the device in this update.  So, as usual, the update comes with the latest security patch, bug fixes, loophole fixes, and much more. The update is currently rolling as build number PDYS29.105-165-16 in the United States.

As of now, the update is rolling out in stagged manners. It means the device may take some time to hit your device. To check the update manually, navigate to Settings> Software updates> Check for Updates on your Moto G7 Play,

Moto G7 Play Specifications

Moto G7 was launched back in 2019 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 (14 nm) chipset that is packed with octa-core processor and Adreno 506 GPU. In terms of display, the device hosts a 5.7-inch display (720 x 1512 pixels) with 294 PPI density, 19:9 aspect ratio. The device features a 13 MP single rear camera and 8 MP front camera.
