Verizon starts rolling out October Security Patch on LG G6, Note 8

Verizon starts rolling out Android security patch for the month of October 2017 to bunch of devices. The Devices which are getting the security patch are LG G6 , Note 8, Moto Z Droid and Z Force Droid. The update also includes the KARCK fix.

Verizon is rolling out the update with software version NMF26X.N950USQU2BQJA on Galaxy Note 8. And on LG G6 update comes with software version VS98813A. October security patch includes fixes patches 215 vulnerabilities found in the Android system out of which 6 are exclusive to Samsung’s software.

The update come with some camera improvements in Galaxy Note 8. With which you can take better pictures and portraits with Live Focus mode. The owners of Galaxy Note 8 and LG G6 is getting update notifications. If someone did not get the update notification don’t panic it will reach you in couple of days time. Meanwhile you can also check it manually through settings>>about phone>>software updates.

While downloading make sure you are on Wifi network as it is a large update. Before start installing the update make sure you charged your phone at least up to 50%.
