Xiaomi Mi A3 press renders leak reveals the entire design

Xiaomi Mi A3 series has been under the rumour mill for a while now. Recently, information about the phones’ processor popped up and just a few hours later, the company itself started teasing the phone on social media. And now, the Mi A3 press renders leak on the web, revealing the entire design of the phone. The hype and excitement have always been more for the Mi A series since it is the only portfolio by Xiaomi that comes with Android One rather than MIUI.

The Mi A3 series by Xiaomi is one of the most-awaited smartphones of 2019. It is rumoured to be a rebranded Mi CC9 series with minor changes. Like last year, there will be two devices, i.e. Mi A3 and Mi A3 Lite. They are expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 675 respectively. Other than that, both phones will share the same specifications as Mi CC9 series including the design as confirmed by the newly leaked press renders. Which means, the headphone jack will return to the Mi A series since its departure from last year’s Mi A2. And will also feature many firsts in the series like AMOLED panel, under-display fingerprint sensor, triple camera setup, and a bigger 4,030 mAh battery.

As far as the design of Mi A3 is concerned, it will feature a dot notch (as Xiaomi calls it) AMOLED display at the front with a fingerprint sensor underneath it. The glass back of the phone will rock a gradient design like any other smartphones these days. Also, the back of the phone will house a triple camera setup which will include a 48MP primary sensor. The IR blaster, headphone jack, and secondary microphone will be located at the top, whereas the USB Type-C port, speaker, and primary microphone will be placed at the bottom of the phone. Last but not least, the Mi A3 will also feature an awkwardly-positioned new Android One logo along with a new Xiaomi logo at the back.

According to the leaked press renders, the Xiaomi Mi A3 will be available in three colour options including blue, black, and white. Xiaomi has not announced the unveiling date yet but it is expected to be launched sooner than the previous iterations.
