Xiaomi’s Mi Community app grabs a major update with brand new UI and much more

One of the perkiest smartphone communities belongs to Xiaomi, named as Mi Community. It is the home for Mi fans for sharing ideas and interact with others like them. While the other rings are limited to fix vulnerabilities, the Mi community arises developments in the interface, news interaction, and even offer periodical giveaways.

Mi community app lost the light as Xiaomi did not roll any update even with the introduction of its new skin, MIUI 12. However, the app has bagged the latest package that carries a big overhaul to the user interface with numerous brand-new attributes.

With the new UI, app icons have become larger with more visible rounded corners. Moreover, the ‘Home’ section has been renamed as ‘Headlines’ and some changes can also be spotted at the bottom tabs. However, the new Headline tab continues to provide the same functionality as before.

Also, there is a new ‘Discover’ tab that enables the users to take a glimpse at the feed section which is similar to that of social media platforms. Here’s presenting you with the entire changelog.

  1. The fundamental system has been changed to make it more responsive.
  2. Brand new UI layouts.
  3. ‘DISCOVER’ section to give you access to more topics where you can share your living moments.
  4. Uploading short videos directly to Mi Community App.
  5. New search function.

Prior to update, keep in notice that some existing features have been temporarily disabled like the Night mode. The switch for the mode is not active but trying to activate it does pop up a notification saying that the feature will be available soon.

The update is hitting Mi devices in a staged manner and is accessible via Google Play Store. In order to check for the update head to the Google Play Store > My apps & games and check for updates.
