Android Nougat 7.0 kernel source code for HTC 10 and HTC One A9 released


HTC has finally released the source code for the kernel based on Android Nougat 7.0 to its recent flagship, the HTC 10 and the HTC One A9. The source code for the HTC 10 is available for both unlocked and carrier specific variants of the device. This includes T-Mobile, Verizon and Telstra. The HTC One A9 source code is available for the device is UK, India, Europe and Arabia.

You can download the source code for the kernel from the HTC website right now. The main purposes of the kernel source code is creating custom ROMs and Custom Kernels for the device. Android developers could use this source code and then modify it to create a Android Nougat Custom ROM for the HTC 10 and the HTC One A9.

Customs ROMS for your HTC 10 and HTC One A9 could be downloaded over at the XDA developers website. The source code for the Android Nougat 7.0 kernel is sized around 222 Megabytes for the HTC 10 and around 210 megabytes for the HTC One A9. Since the HTC 10 was only launched recently. You have to wait a few days for the developers to release new Custom ROMs for the device.
