Google is rolling out new update to its official search app on the Play Store. The new update is now on the roll and many users are getting the update. Some users are reporting no change even after updating the app to the latest version. Well, most of them are reporting that they have received the change.
If we go in detail, then it appears that in the past couple of days, two new versions of the Google App has been rolled out. The one version carriers the new shortcuts feature and the other has brought design upgradations.
Explaining the updates, the new update to add shortcuts is live now and users can enable the new shortcuts by following the below steps:
- Pop over to the Feed at tap one of the categories at the top.
- Scroll down a bit
- Box that offers to add a shortcut to your home screen
The design update change has been reported by a user over at reddit. You can see the search bar on the Search widget appearing rather than the normal search results.
Currently, the above shortcut feature is available on v7.11 or v7.12 (beta) of the Google App. Users can download it from the source link below.
