Asus Transformer Prime TF70T features 1920×1200 display

Asus has dropped the bomb: there’s another Asus Transformer Prime coming, and it has a 1920×1200 HD display powered by a Super IPS+ LCD panel and protected by href=”” rel=”homepage” target=”_blank” title=”Gorilla Glass”>Gorilla Glass. With this new display, you will be able to watch 1080p movies (at 40Mbps+ bitrate) in their full glory – the href=”” rel=”homepage” target=”_blank” title=”iPad”>iPad 2 1024×768 display resolution feels like a Nintendo Gamecube. This will undoubtedly send chills through the Tranformer Prime fans, but it’s clear that any Tablet enthusiast would agree that this extraordinary screen resolution is a fantastic addition to an already rising star. From what we can tell, this model would come in addition to the existing 1280×720 Asus Transformer Prime, and the price difference is $100 for the 32GB version, which makes this a very palatable option in my opinion. The rest of the hardware is very similar of not identical, with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor, 32GB or 64GB of memory etc… but we’ve kept the best part for the end: the Transformer Prime TF70T will ship with Android 4.01! I have added the official specifications in the full post. Note: the photo above shows the 720p Transformer Prime that came out in late November.
