Last month, Mozilla announced that they would bring the support for Progressive Web Apps (PWAs). And now, it finally arrives along with some other features in the new update.

Server Workers which is responsible for PWAs was first made available on Firefox 44. But, only now it will be used effectively. If you are visiting a website which has a PWA, then Firefox will display a home like icon on the address bar. Selecting this icon will add the PWA on your home screen, but it will be not displayed in your app drawer like the ones on Chrome.

Another new feature is the support for FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec). Thus, you can now listen to high quality music if  you have any FLAC files. Also, the company has added two new locales, Bengali (bn-BD) and Nepali (ne-NP). Lastly, the Firefox search widget is now removed which by the way no one uses.

The new update is live in the Play Store which you can head over and install. But, if you prefer APK, the link is provided below. Also, let us know about your thoughts on the new update in the comment section.
