Entry-level Nokia 2 press renders leaked, reveals black and white color

The next smartphone from rejuvenated mobile maker Nokia will be the Nokia 2. After coming up on the rumor radar a few days back, the actual existence of the phone was confirmed yesterday when it passed the FCC. The ultra-low budget level phone now actually appears in physical form with leaked press renders reported today. We haven’t been able to have a glimpse of the handset before this.

The ever-reliable Evan Blass has posted some press renders of the phone giving us a good look at it head to toe, front and back. The renders shared also give the impression that the phone will have Black and White color variants. In terms of looks, the phone does seem to be made up of metal. The front comes with on-screen navigation buttons instead of physical ones. This makes up for a chunky lower bezel. The earpiece and sensors sit at the top with a Nokia branding visible on the right side.

The back of the phone is reminiscent of the Nokia 3 with another Nokia branding and a rear camera situated in the center. If you look closely, a small speaker grill can be seen on the lower right side of the rear. The render shows the phone screen in an activated position. And it looks like it will run the same Android Nougat Nokia shipped with recent Android models.

Talk around the phone suggests that the Nokia 2 will come with a 5-inch HD display. Under neath the hood sit the Snapdragon 212 SoC, and 1 GB of RAM. Yesterday, as a result of the FCC scan, it came to be known that the phone might debut packed with a huge 4,000 mAh battery. This does, however, seem peculiar, but quite possible for an entry level phone.
