Google Deletes 32 Malware Infected Android Apps From The Play Store

In response to findings of Lookout Security, Google has removed 32 Malware infected Android Apps from the Play Store. Couple of days ago a security firm found new Malware, BadNews which infected 32 Android apps on the Play Store. This newly found malware can send fake news messages, prompt users to install applications and sends sensitive information such as the phone number and device ID to its Command and Control (C&C) server.

These Apps or Malware is targeted towards Android users in Eastern-European countries such as Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. These apps are downloaded over 2-9 million times from Android total 25 Billion App Download. These apps were published using four different developer accounts, now all of these have been disabled.

You guys can delete or fully vanish out these apps by using Lookout’s security application.

I’m again saying use trusted developers apps and use your common sense while installing apps. In the past, major security companies – including Russian firm Kaspersky – have criticised Google for Android Malware and even FBI has alerted Android Users of Loozfon and FinFisher Malware.
