Honor 20 leak confirms punch hole display, quad rear camera setup, and more

Honor 20 will be the company’s next budget flagship which will be the successor to last year’s Honor 10. It will be placed below the Honor View 20 in terms of price. The latest Honor 20 leak confirms everything about the phone including a punch hole display, quad rear camera setup, and more.

According to the new leak, Honor 20 will feature a 6.26 inches FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels)  IPS LCD display with 412 PPI. It will not have a notch like its predecessor, rather it will flaunt a punch hole for the front camera. The fingerprint sensor will be embedded on the power button on the right side.

The Honor 20 will be powered by Kirin 980 like the Mate 20 Pro, View 20, and P30 Pro. Thus, performance is expected to be on the higher side of the spectrum. The top variant will come in 6GB RAM and 128 ROM configuration. The phone will also support storage expansion either via microSD card or Huawei’s nanoSD card. Other notable features include Bluetooth 5.0, USB type-C, and support for 9.1 virtual surround sound.

The quad camera setup on the back of the phone includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f / 1.8 aperture, a 16MP ultra wide angle lens with 117° field of view and f / 2.2 aperture, a couple of 2MP sensors for macro photography and depth respectively. The front camera will be of 32MP and f / 2.0 aperture which will be housed by the punch hole. The camera app will be packed with so-called AI features to get better shots.

The battery capacity of Honor 20 will be 3,750 mAh and will support Huawei SuperCharge technology at a maximum input rate of 22.5 watts. The phone is expected to run on Magic UI 2.1 based on Android Pie out of the box. It will be available in Sapphire Blue and Midnight Black colour variants.

The Honor 20 will be announced alongside the Honor 20 Pro on May 21.
