How to root Poco F1 using SuperSu and Magisk


Xiaomi has launched its flagship killer Poco F1 recently. The main highlight of the phone is Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Soc, So POCO F1 is one and only phone to have SD 845 in this price segment. POCO F1 is priced at ₹20,999 in India. People who doesn’t like the user interface of the phone or want to root POCO F1. So, here we are with how to root POCO F1 using SuperSu and Magisk.

POCO F1 is very powerful Android phone. It comes in various variants Based on storage and RAM capacity the device will be made available in three variants: 6GB RAM+64GB ROM, 6GB RAM+128GB ROM, and 8GB RAM+256GB ROM.

It features a 6.18 inch Full HD+ IPS Display with a resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels. The device runs on Android 8.1 with MIUI 9 out of the box. Now if you want to root POCO F1 follow the steps below.



  • Install ADB and Fastboot drivers on your PC.
  • Download and install TWRP recovery on POCO F1. You can see our guide on how to install TWRP Recovery on POCO F1.
  • Install the latest USB drivers of Poco F1.
  • Charge Poco F1 up to at least 60% before starting this process.
  • Download Supersu Files or Magisk. Transfer them into POCO F1 storage.
  • Unlock the bootloader your POCO F1 with Mi Unlock Tool.

How to Root POCO F1 using SuperSu

  1. We assume that you’ve unlocked the bootloader of POCO F1 and installed TWRP recovery.
  2. Now boot POCO F1 into the Recovery Mode by press Volume Up and power buttons simultaneously.
  3. Now Your POCO F1 is booted in the TWRP Recovery.
  4. You will see the various options on screen, You have to tap in install or flash. Then you have to select the SuperSU file from the storage where you have downloaded the file.
  5. After select the SuperSu file and now confirm the flashing by swiping to flash.
  6. After the process is successful, tap on reboot option. Now the phone will reboot.
  7. Now your Xiaomi Poco F1 is rooted. You will see the SuperSU app in the apps menu.

How to Root POCO F1 using Magisk 

  1. We assume that you have unlocked the bootloader of POCO F1 and installed the TWRP recovery. Moreover, Transfer the Magisk file to your POCO F1.
  2. Now boot POCO F1 into the Recovery Mode by press Volume Up and power buttons simultaneously.
  3. Now you will boot into the TWRP recovery. You see there were various options there. Now you have to tap on install then select the Magisk file and confirm to install.
  4. After the process is complete, you have to restart your phone now.
  5. Now you POCO F1 is rooted you can check it with the root checker app.
