HTC 10 in the US is receiving Android 8.0 Oreo

HTC has started to rollout the Android 8.0 Oreo update to its HTC 10 unlocked variant. HTC 10 is now getting the Oreo with its latest features and improvements. HTC is promising same update for some other devices like U11, U Ultra and 10. Already, many devices have received the update and some are in line.

HTC 10 software update brings some system enhancements along with the usual changes of the Android Oreo. The software upgrade to 3.16.517.2 is now available over the air (OTA). In order to check for the update you need to head over to the All Apps>Settings and then About. Then head over to the software updates and tap check now button.

Then download the update and it may take some time and is depended on your internet connection speed. Also, charge up your device to update atleast 35% and try to connect to WiFi Network. It will allow you to save some additional charges on your carrier network, if you have metered connection.

The update process will make your device reboot various times. After the process is complete press OK to continue.

If you have not received the update, kindly wait for sometime as it may take some time. Usually, full rollout takes place in few days depending on the region.
