Huawei Mate 20 Pro update brings DC Dimming and few other changes

In a new EMUI 9.1 update, Huawei has rolled out the DC dimming for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The last year’s flagship has received some other tweaks and performance improvements also.  The new EROFS file system, GPU Turbo 3.0 and the new camera mode are some important additions in the new update.

The DC Dimming feature will reduce the eye strain on users’ eyes while the device in low brightness. It is boon for those, who were having discomfort while using the Huawei Mate 20 Pro at minimal display brightness. It is a better alternative for the PWM method which varies the width of the light pulse to control brightness. It is a popular feature among Chinese OEMs to provide safe smartphone usage. After OnePlus, Xiaomi, now Huawei has also started to rollout the DC Dimming feature to the previous year’s flagship.

On the other hand, GPU Turbo 3.0 enhances the gaming experience for a seamless experience and lowers power consumption by 10%. Moreover, th EROFS improves the random read speed from the storage by 20 percent. So, get ready to enjoy the improved performance after updating your China-bound device to EMUI 9.1.0.135.
