June Security Patch is rolling out on Galaxy J2 2016 and J5 2016, May security patch comes to Galaxy J3 2017


Samsung starts rolling out its Security patches for various Galaxy Phones. Android Security patch for the month of June is rolling out on Galaxy J2 2016 and J5 2016. Moreover, may security patch is rolling out on Galaxy J3 2017.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro

The update comes with the firmware version J210FXXU0ARE6 on Galaxy J2 2016 and J510FQXXU2BRE2 on Galaxy J5 2016. Whereas on Galaxy J3 2017 the update comes with the firmware version J330NKOU1ARE3. The June security patch includes 21 fixes different vulnerabilities in Android system. The major bugs which are fixed in this is remote code execution is enabled when MMS when processing media files, web browsing,etc.

May Security Patch Google has fixed 34 issues in Android system. As this is an OTA update. So if you did not get the notification for the update yet then don’t panic. It will reach you in couple of days. You can also try new stuff by heading to Settings > About phone > System update and download the update manually.
