Motorola’s mid-ranger smartphone, Moto Z Play has started receiving April security patch update in the US. The update comes with build version NPNS25.137-24-1-9. It contains security patch along with fixes for specific vulnerabilities in the Android operating system. It also addresses security issues related to the particular software running on the Moto Z Play.
The update is pretty small in size, just over 70 MB and only includes the latest security patch. It does not bring any major changes to the Android operating system. The software package is rolled-out over-the-air (OTA), and therefore, may take sometime to reach all end-users. If you do not see the update arriving, you may check for the update manually by heading to Settings> About Phone> System Updates.
We suggest that you download and install the update the moment you receive it. While the update is small in size, we still advise you to plug in your device or make sure it has more than 50 percent of battery life. Before you start downloading the update, ensure that you are connected to a stable WiFi connection.
