Nexus 4 Torn Down By iFixit

nexus 4 teardown

So guys iFixit is here to let you know about Nexus 4 interior and hardware. Nexus 4 has been given 7 out of 10 pints by iFixit. In typical fashion you can get a really good look at every component, including that non-removable battery and diagrams of chips on the board. In addition to serving a cosmetic purpose, the hind side plate packs a handful of pressure contacts that power the handset’s NFC antenna and connect its wireless charging induction coil.

iFixit noted a few things about the repair ability of the Nexus 4, saying:

The battery is stuck to the frame with a lot of adhesive, so removing it without puncturing the battery can be difficult.

The glass is fused to both the display and the display frame. So don’t crack the glass unless you’re good with a heat gun, or you’re fond of replacing the glass, display, and frame together.

SO iFixit has given 3 pints down due to tricky battery removing as disscussed above.
