Every year OnePlus follows a trend of launching two flagships and special editions based on them. Last year, we got to see the ‘Star Wars Edition‘ which was later followed by ‘Avengers Edition‘ this summer. And now, to end the year, OnePlus will be launching another special edition dubbed as ‘OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition‘.
The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will be unveiled on December 11 in Woking, London. The company will be also launching the device in Mumbai, India on the very next day, i.e December 12. This special edition phone is made in partnership with McLaren Automotive and McLaren Racing.
This is not the first special edition phone from OnePlus. OnePlus has launched many special editions so far which include OnePlus 3T Colette Edition, OnePlus 5 JCC+ Edition, OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition, and OnePlus 6 Avengers Edition. All of these special edition smartphones featured different paint job than their standard versions. They also came in different boxes which included special cases.
The upcoming OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will also carry the legacy of its predecessors. But, it will have a legacy of its own as it may be the first OnePlus device to feature 10GB RAM which is insane. In case you do not know, there are already phones with 10GB RAM in the market such as Xiaomi Black Shark Helo, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Forbidden City Edition, and ZTE Nubia Red Magic Mars.

Other than the insane amount of RAM, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition may come with 256GB ROM like the top variant which is already available. It will possibly come in a different color with McLaren logo on the back. The company may include a special edition case in the box and also it could come with a special theme. Whereas, the rest of the specifications will be the same as the standard one.
