[Update: January 2024 Security Update] OnePlus 9 Series Update Tracker

OnePlus introduced the flagship OnePlus 9 Series 5G on March 24, 2021. Certainly, the OnePlus 9 series consists of three smartphones – the OnePlus 9, the OnePlus 9R, OnePlus 9RT, and the OnePlus 9 Pro. The Snapdragon 888 SoC powers both the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, whereas the latter is powered by the Snapdragon 870. Moreover, the OnePlus 9 series comes with 8 GB/12 GB of RAM and 128 GB/256 GB of device storage. Additionally, the OnePlus 9 Series is packed with a 4500mAh battery with Warp Charge T support. Here, the users can check for the respective updates for OnePlus 9 series smartphones.

Eventually, these devices came with the Oxygen OS 11 based on Android 11. So, the flagship 9 Pro features a 6.7-inch 120Hz QHD+ Fluid AMOLED display. Consequently, it comes with a quad-camera setup at the rear, a 48MP Sony IMX789 + 50MP Sony IMX766 + an 8MP + 2MP. On the front, it has a 16-megapixel snapper.

The same specifications apply to the OnePlus 9, except for the absence of the 50MP ultra-wide camera. 6.55′′. It also includes a 6.55′′ FHD+ flattened display, which is smaller. Subsequently, the OnePlus 9R has a 6.5-inch FHD+ display and a triple camera system.

[January 30, 2024]: OnePlus is bringing a new software update for the OnePlus 9/9 Pro smartphones. The updates are currently rolling out for the Indian variants, comprising the latest January 2024 security patch. It bundles several other improvements and enhancements that will surely enhance the user experience. The OnePlus 9 receives the firmware LE2111_14.0.0.212, the OnePlus 9 Pro gets the LE2111_14.0.0.202 firmware version.

[January 18, 2024]: The OnePlus Open has received the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2 for  OnePlus Open and OnePlus 9/9 Pro users in India. The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro which have also received their due January 2024 Security Update with the Build number IN: LE2111_13.1.0.593(EX01) for OnePlus 9 and IN: LE2121_13.1.0.593(EX01) for OnePlus 9 Pro.

[December 26, 2023]: OnePlus has started pushing the latest OxygenOS 14 stable version update based on the Android 14 operating system to its 9, 9 Pro, and 9RT. This OxygenOS 14 update for the 9, 9 Pro, and 9RT smartphones are currently being rolled out in the Indian region and carries the firmware versions LE2111_14.0.0.201(EX01), LE2121_14.0.0.211(EX01), and MT2111_14.0.0.211(EX01) respectively.

[December 14, 2023]: The OnePlus has announced the OxygenOS 14 Open Beta 2 for OnePlus 9/9 Pro users in India. This update comes with more functional customization in comparison to the first Open Beta. It also integrates the November 2023 Android Security Patch to enhance system security.

[December 14, 2023]: OnePlus has rolled out OxygenOS 13.1.0.594 update for OnePlus 9RT. The update is rolling out in the Indian region only. It arrives with firmware version MT2111_13.1.0.594 (EX01). It integrates the December 2023 security patch to the device.

[August 03, 2023]: OnePlus has announced the incremental rollout of the OxygenOS 13.1.0.590 update for the OnePlus 9RT with July 2023 security update. The OxygenOS 13.1-based update brings firmware version MT2111_13.1.0.590(EX01) and some improvements and bug fixes to enhance the overall user experience on the OnePlus 9RT.

[August 01, 2023]: OnePlus started rolling out the July 2023 Android security update for the OnePLus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro with several improvements and a fix for Hasselblad watermark issues in India and Europe. The OnePlus 9 firmware version is IN: LE2111_13.1.0.590(EX01), EU: LE2113_13.1.0.590(EX01) and for OnePlus 9 Pro firmware version is IN: LE2121_13.1.0.590(EX01), EU: LE2123_13.1.0.590(EX01).

[July 03, 2023]: The One Plus has rolled out a new update for the OnePlus 9 series smartphones like OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, OnePlus 9RT, and OnePlus 9R. This latest update is based on the Android 13-based OxygenOS 13.1 software update. The OnePlus 9 series smartphones can identify the June 2023 Security update through the following OxygenOS Verizon number OnePlus 9: LE2111_13.1.0.582(EX01), OnePlus 9 Pro: LE2121_13.1.0.582(EX01), OnePlus 9RT: MT2111_13.1.0.582(EX01), OnePlus 9R: LE2101_13.1.0.581(EX01).
