OnePlus releases the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 4 update for OnePlus 8T

A few months earlier, OnePlus has started recruiting beta testing users for the OxygenOS 11, and later on, it has released many beta builds also. Now, OnePlus has begun seeding the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta 4 for the OnePlus 8T.

What’s new?

The new Beta update for the OnePlus 8T dispatches with the latest April 2021 Security Patch update, a bunch of fixes for known issues, improvements, and a new add-on. The latest update adds the Data Monitor feature, you can find it in the Game Toolbox and monitor the FPS/CPU/GPU changes in real-time.

If we go with the bug fixes, it brings fixes for the issue that some app’s fonts are displayed abnormally after setting customized fonts, small probability issue where the status bar cannot be pulled down, small probability issue where the status bar does not display app icons, issue that the missed calls are not displayed in the notification bar, and much more. However, all the changes and fixes can be checked in the changelog below.

Before installing the update, please keep in mind that it is a beta build, and it may include certain risks and bug fixes. So, think twice before installing the update. If you an OnePlus 8T beta user, go to the Software updates menu from Settings and check for the updates.

In case if you are a non-beta user and looking forward to flash the beta version, you can download the file from this link. Also, keep in mind that after migrating to the Beta version, you will no longer receive the Stable builds, and moreover, moving back to the Stable ROM will require a complete wipe of the data.

OnePlus 8T Specifications

In 2019, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 8T featuring a 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED display (1080 x 2400 pixels), a quad rear camera, and a 16-MP selfie camera. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G (7 nm+) Chipset paired with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB internal storage.
