Oppo R17 features a 6.4-inch display with around 1080 x 2340 pixels of resolution and is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 670 (10 nm) Chipset. In terms of camera, there’s a 16-MP + 5-MP dual rear camera and a 25-MP single front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.

Oppo R17 was landed back in 2018 with Android 8.1 (Oreo), and it has received two Android updates (9, 10) from its launch date. Furthermore, the company is still providing the Security Patch updates every month with reported bug fixes and new features.

[September 14, 2020]: Starting from today, the Oppo R17 devices have started receiving the Security Patch update for the month of August 2020. As per the changelog, the update assembles with the reported/ known bug fixes (battery icon in the status bar color) and the latest Security Patch. The update is arriving as the CPH1879_11_F.09 firmware version, and it is only meant to increase the Stability & Security Patch level.
[August 7, 2020]: The July 2020 Security Patch update for the Oppo R17 is hitting all the devices on the CPH1879EX_11_F.07/ CPH1879_11_F.07 build number. The update brings several new features, a few improvements, and fixes. The new features added in this update include a wireless printing feature, Personalisations option in Settings, and more.
