Original Moto 360 Sport to receive Android Wear 2.0 in the coming weeks

The Moto 360 Sport didn’t quite get the public acceptance as its simple siblings. That is why Motorola had second thoughts for an Android Wear 2.0 update for the wrist accessory. It wasn’t worthwhile, then, Motorola decided to forgo the whole thing. But, it seems the company has changed its mind.

Android Wear 2.0 has already made it to the Moto 360 2nd Gen. So, that leaves just the Moto 360 Sport to update. Now, the Lenovo-owned brand has made it official that the update will roll out soon. That is refreshing news for Moto 360 Sport users, especially when they needed it the most. The update will appear in the coming days as software version NXH20Z. As its going to be out in phases, it might take some time to arrive. So, don’t be too nervous.

Android Wear 2.0 brings standalone functionality, Google Assistant for English and German language, a Doze mode and some more. As with other major updates, it would be preferable to keep your watch in the charging dock while updating and keep the data backed up. This is a major OS update so it will be hefty in size.

  1. So much wrong here. They never said the Moto 360 Sport wasn’t going to be updated. It was always listed as getting AW 2.0. There is no Moto 360 Sport 2.. this isnt the the first generation device.. the Moto 360 Sport is the sport edition with added GPS of the Moto 360 2nd generation.. they are both 2nd generation devices as they are not the original Moto 360. How about you not make stuff up and do research.. and learn what devices you are talking about.
