Realme 5 starts getting October Security Patch along with Dark Mode

Realme 5 that was launched in August 2019 starts getting an update. The update with build number RMX1911EX_11_A.18 comes with the October security patch for Realme 5.  The update is also packed with a system-wide dark mode. Recently Realme has rolled out the system-wide dark mode on Realme 1, U1, 5 PRO, X, XT, and 3 PRO.

The update is also packed with various camera improvements like low light scene shooting, fixed the issue of noise on the subject and improve the brightness of the main camera. There are some more improvements in the user interface like notification, status bar, font change, etc.  You can see the full changelog of the update below.

  • Optimized low light scene shooting for rear portrait mode
  • Improved preview clarity of rear camera

Notification Center and Status Bar

  • Removed the reminder after hotspot has been enabled
  • Added fast switch toggle between SIMs in notification center
  • Swipe left or right to dismiss message notifications
  • Added option to swipe down on home screen for global search or notification center

Known issue fixed

  • Fixed issue of battery that cannot be fully charged

Realme is currently rolling the update on Realme 5 in stages, So don’t panic if the update notification is not popped up on your phone. It will come in a couple of day’s time.
