Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro Launched with Quad Rear Cameras and Super AMOLED Display

The BBK-owned India’s leading smartphone brand – Realme, has unveiled two new smartphones named Realme 8 and 8 Pro. Interestingly, both smartphones come with FHD+ Super AMOLED displays and support for fast charging. In availability, the Realme 8 is available in two variants, and the Realme 8 Pro is available in three variants.

Price and Avaialability

The Realme 8 Series will go on sale from March 25 at 12 pm (noon) on Flipkart,t Realme’s official online store, and other major stores. The sale offers include a 10 per cent instant discount upon payment with ICICI Bank Credit card and EMI transactions.

Realme 8 Pro Specifications

Realme 8 Pro flaunts a 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, 1,000 nits of peak brightness, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The device comes in two variants – 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. Additionally, it can be expandable with a microSD card. Under the hood, th phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC paired with Adreno 618 GPU.

For photography, it equips a quad rear camera that equips a 108-MP Samsung ISOCELL HM2 primary sensor with an f/1.88 aperture, and 8-MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.25), a 2-MP macro sensor with f/2.4 lens, and lastly, a 2-MP black and white (BNW) sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, At the front, the phone features a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor (f/2.45) for selfies and video calling.

On the top, the Realme 8 Pro runs Android 11–based Realme UI 2.0 Skin out of the box. Moreover, the device is backed by a 4,500mAh battery supporting 50W SuperDart Charge fast charging technology. There’s a 65W fast charger inside the product box. Connectivity options on the board include Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth v5.0, dual-SIM (Nano), GPS, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, etc. The sensor includes an accelerometer, gyro-meter, ambient light, proximity, magnetic induction, and others. It measures 160.6 x 73.9 x 8.1 mm and weighs nearly 176 grams.

Realme 8 Specifications

Coming to the Realme 8, it hosts the same display as the 8 Pro smartphone. It is powered by an octa-core processor based MediaTek Helio G95 SoC Chipset coupled with Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. It is available in three variants i.e 4GB RAM + 128GB storage model, 6GB RAM + 128GB Storage variant, and last but not least, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage.

In terms of camera, there’s a quad rear camera that compromises a 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide with 119-degree FOV, and 2MP sensors. Upfront, it features the same camera (16MP) as the Realme 8 Pro. Moreover, there’s a 5,000 mAh battery with slower 30W Dart Charge fast charging support. The smartphone measures 160.6 x 73.9 x 7.99 mm dimensions and weighs about 177 grams.
