Realme requests feature suggestions for Realme X2 Pro ColorOS 7 update

Realme X2 Pro is the company’s first flagship smartphone with everything a user needs without spending more cash. It comes with an FHD+ AMOLED panel with 90Hz refresh rate and also features an in-screen fingerprint sensor. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor and comes in a number of storage configurations. But it was launched with ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie when Android 10 was already out. And according to the update timeline, the phone will not receive the latest ColorOS 7 based on Android 10 until March 2020. That being said, the company is now requesting feature suggestions for the update in China whose beta recruitment has already begun.

Realme is the youngest brand in the list of top 10 smartphone brands in terms of shipments in the year 2019. It has achieved this feat in a short period of time, thanks to the support from its parent company, Oppo. The brand has now moved on from a smartphone-only company to a tech-lifestyle company. And this happened within a year which is impressive. Realme smartphones go toe to toe with Xiaomi’s offerings in India with better or identical features.

When the company launched the Realme X2 Pro, it changed everything. This phone has nearly identical specifications of the OnePlus 7T but at a cheaper price. However, one thing that worried buyers was Oppo’s ColorOS that come pre-installed on Realme phones. But that will change soon as the ColorOS 7 update based on Android 10 will have a different look and will be called Realme UI as revealed by the company during the Realme X2 launch. But we are still not sure whether it will be exclusive to international markets or will be available in China as well.

Just today, a moderator on Realme Community China has posted a thread requesting for feature suggestions for Realme X2 Pro ColorOS 7 Android 10 update. The thread also explains how to submit a feature suggestion by providing an example. The moderator also assures that the product manager will regularly check this thread for new feature suggestions. Anyways, this program seems to b exclusive for the Chinese variant since the international community does not have such thread yet.

We hope Realme improves its update rollout speed down the line as it is no longer a sub-brand of Oppo. A flagship smartphone like Realme X2 Pro should receive the update early but that is not the case as Realme 3 Pro and Realme X will get the update first.
