Samsung Galaxy A50 and A50s starts receiving the Android 11 update

Recently, Samsung has released the Android 11 update to its high-end range and some other mid-range smartphones. Now, the update started rolling out to Samsung Galaxy A50 and A50s smartphones. The Galaxy A50s update is currently rolling out only to Vietnamese users and is expected to release shortly in all the other countries.

The new update holds a firmware version A505FDDU7CUBC for the Galaxy A50 and build number A507FNXXU5DUB6 for the Galaxy A50s. It also brings March 2021 Security patch apart from the One UI 3.1 skin. The Galaxy A50 update weighs around 1,871.38MB in size and enhances the performance of the smartphone alongside a refreshed UI design.

The software update also adds some new features like chat bubbles, media controls, screen recorder, notification history, conversation notifications, enhanced Dynamic Lock screen, more AoD options and lock screen widgets, video background to calls, enhanced Parental Controls, Digital Wellbeing, stock apps, camera autofocus performance.

The update is rolling out in a batch manner, meaning all the users will not get the update at the same time. If you have not received the update yet, head to settings>> software updates>> check for updates>> Download and install.
