The previous listings revealed the codename “berry” for the earbuds and their ability to connect to multiple compatible devices simultaneously. But now with the FCC certification, we have several images along with some specs.

The Galaxy Buds 2 will arrive with model number SM-R177. As per the images revealed, the design seems to be identical to the standard model of Galaxy buds. Concerning connectivity, the Galaxy Buds 2 will support Bluetooth LE connectivity. Needless to say, the wearables will ship with a charging case with model number EP-QR177.

The Galaxy Buds 2 are likely to equip some sort of wear-detection system as there’s a proximity sensor inside each bud. Like most recently launched buds, this also equips a dual-microphone setup on each bud, hinting at the Active noise cancelation feature.

Looking at Samsung’s announcement cycle, the new Galaxy Buds 2 can go official by the end of August.
